Putting on an old hat: On the Perils of Pinterest

I was featured on CraftTestDummies.com

Today my guest post for Craft Test Dummies went live, so I guess I am allowed to share it 🙂 The subject is Pinterest, particularly the various controversies surrounding its terms of use, copyrights and related issues. You may not know that I was a copyright lawyer before I got too sick to work, and it’s that hat that I wear in this article.

  1. Pinterest has nailed it as far as I am concerned, they are changing the was webdesign is done, the futurewill be different as other companies creat websites that make full use of the screen, sharing done right!

    1. Sorry for the delayed response, this got caught in my spam filter for a bit and then my computer has been all crashy and we’re still unpacking so I haven’t had time to fix..*sigh* sorry, excuses excuses I know!

I like Pinterest’s concept although you are right, there are several ways they could improve it. But at the least they have modified their terms and conditions a bit to remove the “sell” term so at least people can safely pin their own stuff without fear of what Pinterest might do with it later. A small step but an important one…
